Sex offender registry

The Sex Offender Registry contains a variety of information about registered sex offenders, including but not limited to: multiple photos, names (aliases), home and/or work addresses, and convictions that required registration, if applicable.

This web site is provided by the U.S. Department of Justice to provide a free nationwide search for sex offenders registered by states, territories, Indian tribes, and the District of Columbia. NSOPW is the only national sex offender search site with direct access to registered sex offender information from the individual registration jurisdictions.

Sex Offender Management. DCJS is responsible for maintaining the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Registered sex offenders are assigned a risk level by judge after a court hearing: Level 1 (low risk of re-offense); Level 2 (medium risk of re-offense), and Level 3 (high risk of re-offense).

Citizens who have information on offenders or inquiries about information contained in the states Sex Offender Registry can contact the Sex Offender Registry Hotline at 1 (888) 837-4170, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM until 8:30 PM CDT and weekends between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM CDT, excluding holidays, or by email at TBISORMGR@tn.gov.

The Sex Offender Registry personnel are responsible for updating the site and responding to any e-mails generated from the public. Local law enforcement staff register the offenders and forward the information to our unit for entry into the ALEA state repository. Additional Information: In 2005, with the passage of Colorado Revised Statue 16-22-110, the Colorado Sex Offender registry was revised. The general assembly recognized the need to balance the expectations of persons convicted of offenses involving unlawful sexual behavior and the publics need to adequately protect themselves and their children from these persons.
